Tony C. Aguilar Jr. is the founder and president of Palm Springs Youth Charities. He is also chairman of the board. He works tirelessly to put on this charity function to raise money for his organization. Youth Charities is a not-for-profit corporation.

The fun started with a Pairings Party on Friday Night at Hotel Zoso. This was a fun time to meet all the old friends who play in this golf tournament every year. Celebrities and sponsors also mingled with the players and guests. The hotel provided entertainment for guests. Raffle tickets were sold for various prizes.

Many of the guests have been coming to this event since it started. Some of the celebrities come year after year to support this charity. Each foursome at golf included at least one celebrity. Celebrities at this event include actors, actresses, singers, songwriters, and football and baseball players. Even one Hall of Fame baseball player, Rollie Fingers, was in the field.

Hotel Zoso also hosted the dinner and variety show on Sat., Dec. 6. This black-tie gala began with a champagne silent auction to raise money for scholarships.

Golf was played for two days at the host course. A scramble format was used to make it easy for everyone to be a winner. There were also many categories for the golfers and a Hole-in-One contest. An awards cocktail party was held after the last day of golf. Tournament awards were handed out at the Desert Princess Country Clubhouse.
