The charm of Old Town La Quinta and its merchants helped out Guide Dogs of the Desert on the Event Lawn at Old Town La Quinta 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 23, with many desert locals enjoying an evening of lively conversation wine, hors d'oeuvres and happy canine companions.

On May 21, 2009 the new non-profit Helping People Hear Again was officially launched. Helping People Hear Again was founded by Francoise Rhodes, owner/producer and host of “Traveling With Francoise” on Newstalk 920 KPSI. Santa and Mrs Claus made a special appearance at the Boys & Girls Club of Desert Hot Springs on Saturday, December 13. The teens of the Keystone Club helped organize a wonderful community outreach meal and gift presentation for children ages infant to 10 and their families. They served delicious tamales and posole, beverages and desserts to the more than 100 kids and parents who attended this uplifting event. |
